Details of grassland censuses
2009We established 3 160-m belt-transects. In each transect, 40 2 x 2 m plots were placed at 2-m intervals (120 plots in total).
All of aboveground plant biomass were sampled in 1 x 0.1 m area within each plot in 19-26 July, 18-26 Aug., and 13-14 Oct.
Samples in October were obtained from in 40 plots of one transect.
Samples were divided by species and weighed after drying.
