Embryology of Plecoptera
From the phylogenetic point of view, Plecoptera is a challenging taxonomic group in the Neoptera.
Various hypotheses have been proposed for the phylogenetic position of Plecoptera.
However, recent studies were not always based on new evidence for Plecoptera itself.
Aiming to use embryological data to reconstruct the groundplan and phylogeny of Plecoptera and Polyneoptera,
I have been studying a comparative embryology of Plecoptera.
